The World’s Most Attractive Employers

Universum surveyed over 225,000 business and engineering/IT students in the world’s 12 largest economies and asked:

“Which employers do you hold in highest regard?”

The top 25 employers mentioned by business students in 2018 were:

  1. Google

  6. Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC)
  7. Apple
  8. J.P. Morgan

In our country guides, we see how many of the Top 25 companies recruit at each MBA program and give a score out of 25. For example, all things considered, a school with a 15/25 score probably has a better reputation with well-known multinationals than a school with a 5/25 score.

Of course, we encourage you to check your target school’s employment reports – or contact its admissions office – to see whether your desired companies recruit there.

Even though undergraduate business students participate in the survey (not MBAs), we feel the top companies are similar for MBA students (represented by a roughly equal split of technology, management consulting, financial services, and consumer goods companies). We like how Universum surveys students from not just the US, but also Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Russia, South Korea, and the UK. While far from perfect, we feel our “company score” can give you an idea of how many prestigious companies recruit at international business schools.
